Do you have what it takes to endure a tough course that will take as long as 39 hours? Go above and beyond your limits and achieve something that’s truly extraordinary. The 96KM Kokoda Challenge returns to the Gold Coast from July 15th to 16th!
For those of you who wish to cross this item off your bucket list, then this is your time to shine and endure as a team. The 96km Kokoda Challenge is perhaps the toughest team endurance event in Australia, as it is comprised of 96-kilometre winding tracks through the Gold Coast hinterland, 5,000m of vertical elevation to climb, and 13 checkpoints to get through. Teams will need to pay a registration fee of $460.00 to enter The Kokoda Challenge.
In addition to this, a minimum amount of fundraising ($1,600.00) is required to compete in the event. This fundraising is crucial to the organiser’s chosen charity and the youth programs it facilitates. Teams will have fun engaging the community with heaps of fundraising ideas, such as: bake or BBQ sales, movie nights, trivia nights, auctions, etc. Of course, the team that fundraises the highest amount for the year will win an awesome trip to Papua New Guinea to walk the Kokoda Track!
Participants who wish to be part of the 96KM Kokoda Challenge should be ages 15 and up. Do note that participants below 18 will have to be accompanied by their guardians. For more details, you may visit the official website: https://kokodachallenge.com.
