Now on its 28th year, Flickerfest is Australia’s leading Academy® Award accredited and BAFTA- recognised Short Film Festival, the country’s most significant Australian & International short film competition. Screening the best shorts from Australia and internationally, the shorts are hand-picked and carefully chosen from 2,700 entries.
Flickerfest screens for ten days at Bondi Beach in January 2019, with chosen highlights screening across Australia on a 50+ venue national tour starting from Jan until May 2019.
Flickerfest is still a platform for highlighting the most entertaining and ingenious short filmmaking from Australia and around the globe.
Flickerfest will also screen at HOTA with the Best Of Australian Shorts. Chosen from the Flickerfest Australian programmes in competition at Bondi, Flickerfest promises to be a special event.
